About House TAU
House TAU is an award-winning male residence of the University of Pretoria, situated on the Hillcrest Campus. Established in 1963 originally as House Boekenhout, House TAU is proud to have The Eiffel as its mascot. We are the Gentlemen who show up and take pride in being House TAU Gentlemen!
We do not take lightly the words of our house song, “for the rest of the boys, the same the same,” which resembles the strong brotherhood House TAU prides itself on. In 2018, our residence changed its name to House TAU, where TAU stands for Trust Achieves Unity.
Our motto: “Iron Sharpens Iron” is one we embody every day because there’s no brother that stays behind, and we empower every single TAU Gentlemen to be a better version of themselves.
