Where each Ysters name is engraved into the history of the House.
Lamula, the vibrant lemon tree planted in 2024, symbolizes House TAU's core values and vision. Rooted in the rich soil of our house, it represents nourishment, growth, and a bright future.
Our Flags are a long standing tradition within the house and are raised every morning to remind everyone of the new opportunities that come with each day. The flags represent the pride we take in our Residence and in our country and our Ysters raising them everyday is a reminder of that Respect and Pride.
Teekan is also one of our long standing traditions within the House and allows for us as brothers to strengthen our bond by drinking a cup of tea each morning.
Each Thursday all house members wear House TAU merchandise which represent the massive pride we have in our house and the unity we stand for!
Yster Caps are worn by each Yster proudly during the year and is given to them after they engrave their name into the First Year Book, officially welcoming them as House TAU residents.
Every year, just before the commencement of House Week, a fire is ceremoniously lit and proudly held around our Eiffel. This cherished tradition marks the official beginning of House Week.

As a member of House TAU, I declare that I strive to:
Always uphold the name of the university.
Make my Residence my pride.
Keep my demeanor loyal.
Know my duty.
Grasp my opportunities.
Respect my betters.
Be an example to those who look up to me.
Esteem my neighbour as I do myself.
This all because I realise that I must recognise authority
